Meridian, Idaho during the boom was one of the nations fastest growing communities. When the bubble popped that all came to a screeching halt. Now that the activity is starting to slowly return to the market we are seeing construction begin again. Below I have put together the list of the top 10 fastest growing subdivisions according to number of starts (actual homes being built) for 2011.
#10 Spurwing greens
Spurwing Greens is the newest Brighton community located near 10 mile and Chinden. Based on the short amount of time it has been going I would put this on your list of neighborhoods to watch. The list of amenities includes pathways, tennis courts, swimming memberships to the country club and more. See all available homes in Spurwing Greens.
#9 Alpine Pointe
Alpine Pointe, tucked away off of Eagle road between Ustick and McMillan, you might easily drive right past. but if you do find it you will be surprised to find a little larger lot size and a new entrance being prepared off of McMillan road.
#8 Settlers Bridge
Settlers Bridge is a fantastic neighborhood with one of the most coveted neighborhood swimming pools in Meridian. This neighborhood built around the settlers irrigation canal has lots of open space and great paths along the water.
#7 Saguaro Springs
The Saguaro Springs neighborhood built exclusively by Boise Hunter Homes is located just off Locust Grove near Chinden.
#6 Red Feather
Red Feather, formerly exclusively built by CBH is now being built by the likes of Berkley, Stetson, and others. Located right next to the new Julius M. Kleiner park set to open this fall, it’s no wonder people are flocking to get a lot in here.
#5 Green Valley
The first neighborhood we have seen south of the Freeway. Green Valley is CBH exclusive development located at Locust Grove and Victory.
#4 Saguaro Canyon
If you have seen the giant red rocks and the cacti you have seen Saguaro Canyon. Built around a southwestern theme this neighborhood has a lot going for it. Big pathways wander throughout the development leading to Heritage Middle School, the neighborhood parks and the pool.
#3 Tustin
Tustin, another CBH exclusive located in the north this time. Located on Locust Grove North of McMillan.
#2 Tuscany
Tuscany, the biggest development south of the freeway and recently acquired by Brighton. This neighborhood has it all, multiple pools, neighborhood parks, city parks, and great builders.
#1 A Tie between Paramount and Bridgetower
Paramount and Bridgetower are two of the biggest developments around and it shows based on the number of homes currently being built. It also shows a well planned and designed neighborhood attracts people.
Bridgetower
Bridgetower, located between Ustick, McMillan, Linder and Ten Mile Bridgetower is brimming with houses. One thing I appreciate about Bridgetower are the larger than average homesites, it lends to a more spacious feel. Located near the new Ten Mile Interchange, this area is ripe for strong growth in the future.
Paramount
Paramount is truly a neighborhood you may never have to leave. Located in the square mile bordered by McMillan, Chinden, Meridian, and Linder it’s a big one. Developed by Brighton with builders like Tahoe, Brighton, and Canyon Crest. amenities include ponds, paths, pools, clubhouses, High Schools, Elementary Schools, Parks, and Parties there is never a shortage of things to do.
